Can I find an online directory of interpreters or translators for hire?

A good place to start looking when hiring an interpreter or translator is on the online directories. Typically, directories are made up of interpreters and translators who are paying members of an organization. They haven't necessarily taken any sort of exam or test to be on a directory. On the other hand, there are also online registries. These are generally made up of individuals who have met certain requirements and passed exams.
