Back to School: Interpreting & Translating in the K-12 Educational Setting as part of the Team

DESCRIPTION:

It is time to get ready for school! Join us for a conversation on how educational interpreters prepare for the school year and see where interpreters and translators are needed in schools. Aida Azzazi, Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Special Education interpreter and translator, will lead a conversation on skills prep, challenges, and tools to be an effective team member in the school setting, and provide resources to strengthen skills to support language access for school staff, newcomers, young learners, and their families.
