Medical or legal, spoken language or sign language; whatever the discipline, interpreters act as both witness and narrator of many aspects of trauma,  which over time can impact mental health and emotional well-being.

This workshop is a continuation of previous sessions, but you can come to one or to all.

Nobody knows what it is like to be an interpreter as well as another interpreter. It can be a stressful and exhausting job, especially when we interpret distressing or horrific stories. This support group will include education related to stress and self care as well as dedicated time to support each other, ask questions, and share experiences. Come to receive support, learn something new, or to support others!

The workshop consists of a two hour presentation and conversation in a small group setting.

Presenter:  Heidi S. Telschow, LICSW

1 hour of continuing education credit
