At the Upper Midwest Translators and Interpreters Association (UMTIA) the educational interpreting committee provides a space and opportunity in which interpreters and translators who work in school settings can connect, learn from one another, organize events, and network.

  • Enrolled in an academic translation/interpreting program. Must present proof of current student status.
  • ONLY for interpreters who work in languages other than Spanish, Somali, Hmong, Vietnamese, Karen, Arabic, Chinese, Mandarin, Russian, Oromo and Laotian. MUST BE OR BECOME AN UMTIA MEMBER.
