Madison plan aims to improve interpretation and translation services

Check out the way the city of Madison, Wisconsin, is getting serious about language access. In Madison, the city’s top three non-English groups are Spanish, Hmong and Chinese Mandarin. After learning that at least 30 percent of city staff have experienced a time when they are unable to provide language service to a client, a lot of change is planned for 2018 and the upcoming years with the hope of more effectively reaching the LEP population.
